Coralville City Administrator Kelly Hayworth will be recognized next week as a leader in the state's tourism industry.
Hayworth is to receive the Individual Tourism Leadership Award and be inducted in the Tourism Leadership Hall of Fame at the annual Iowa Tourism Conference in Waterloo next week, according to a news release from the Iowa City/Coralville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The conference is hosted by the Iowa Tourism Office, which is part of the state government, and Travel Federation of Iowa.
Hayworth's award is for an elected official who provides leadership and support for the tourism industry. Cedar Rapids Mayor Ron Corbett received the same honor last year.
