Cedar Rapids holds large-item drop-off event this Saturday
Sep. 9, 2013 11:19 am
The city's CleanUpCR initiative is holding a large-item drop-off this Saturday at the landfill at 2250 A St. SW.
Residents can bring furniture, clothing, wood waste, scrap metal and up to eight tires to the drop-off event, which will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Upon arrival, residents should present the purple-colored coupon that they received in their summer city utility bill.
A full list of items that can be dropped off this Saturday can be found at www.CleanUpCR.com. No household garbage or appliances will be accepted at the cleanup event.
The city's Solid Waste & Recycling Division provides curbside bulky item collection for a small fee any time during the year.
