Auditor's Office open Saturday for House 33 voting

Voters in Iowa House 33, which covers much of southeast and southwest Cedar Rapids, will be able to cast ballots Saturday from 8 until 5 p.m. at the Linn County Auditor's Office.
Cedar Rapids residents may also vote in the city council run-off election Saturday.
A special election is being held to elect a replacement to Rep. Dick Taylor, a Democrat, who resigned. Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 24.
The candidates are Democrat Kristen Running-Marquardt and Republican Josh Thurston.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is 5 p.m. Nov. 20. Voters may cast absentee ballots in person at the auditor's office during normal business hours through Nov. 23.
People not registered to vote may register at their designated polling location. They will need to provide photo identification, such as Iowa driver's license or non-driver ID card with a photo and expiration date, and proof of their current residency.
