1st District Republican forum May 25

The two active candidates seeking the Republican nomination for Iowa's 1st District seat in the U.S. House will participate in a candidate forum at 7 p.m. May 25 at the McCaskey Lyceum, Saemann Student Center, on the Wartburg campus in Waverly.
The event is presented by Wartburg Television, the student-run co-curricular television channel.
The public is invited to attend.
The candidates are Will Johnson of Dubuque and Ben Lange of Independence. The primary winner will face incumbent Rep. Bruce Braley, D-Waterloo, in the November general election.
Panelists questioning the candidates will include a representative from KWWL-TV, from the Community Newspapers Group, and from Wartburg Television.
Each round of questions will focus on a single topic, as follows: the economy (jobs, business), immigration, education, energy, and government including politics.
