I’ve been a Realtor in our area since 2019. My wife Katie and I are both Iowans. We’re blessed with two beautiful kids, who are actively involved in various activities in our community. I’m a proud graduate of the University of Iowa. When I’m not immersed in the world of Real Estate, I enjoy golfing, staying active through exercise, coaching in our community, and cheering on our teams, especially the Hawkeyes. I hope to continue to enrich our community and to be a source of information to the people of our great city!
If elected, my top priority is to find a solution to fix our hard water issues for the City of Coralville. As a Realtor, I've seen this become a difficult situation for residents of Coralville. Secondly, most of our residents I've spoken to would like to see the overnight parking, especially in the summer months, to be changed to a 24-hour limit instead of the 2 a.m. - 8 a.m. non-parking. Thirdly, to continue to help build our community with our ever-growing businesses and complexes for our youth.
I believe our top issue is our water quality and it'll continue to cost each resident more money and potential damage to their homes over time, until we figure out how to fix it.
If the city were to face budget cuts, I would discuss with our team on what would be the best course of action.
I believe affordable housing is an issue which needs to be addressed and we need to be open to new ideas from our citizens and our developers.
As a realtor and a resident I am for the local sales tax option, as I believe this is an obvious source of revenue not yet tapped into and it's believed to help reduce the growth at which our property taxes continue to be raised.
I think collaboration is very key, as long as the collaboration is pointed towards progress towards the task at hand.
I've always been there for my clients and I'll continue to be there for our residents. I'm happy to have open conversations with our residents about the growth of our City and how we can make it better.
I've always been a good listener and help with compromise.
I think the City of Coralville has done a tremendous job of building up our community in the IRL over the past few years and continue to work on new opportunities to grow.
I think the city should always look for new ways to help with our economic development, but on a case by case basis we would need to weigh the pros and cons of the incentives allowed.
