Iowa City West earned a runner-up at the Class 4A district meet Monday at Brown Deer Golf Club in Coralville. The Trojans qualified for the state tournament for the first time since 2009. Senior Dillon Croco led West, winning medalist honors with 5-under 66.
Dylan Muszynski made his mark right away in his return from injury, taking off on a 65-yard run on his second carry. He finished with 198 yards on 25 carries and caught two passes for another 33 yards as the Lions snapped their three-game losing streak with an impressive, 35-9, win over the Muskies.
