Organizers at Four Oaks report that tickets remain for the popular “Cuisine in the Corn” on Saturday, August 25.
This is the second year for the all-Iowa dinner that takes place in the middle of a Bloomsbury Farm cornfield in rural Atkins. Transported by hayrack, diners are transported deep into the cornfield where there is one long, elegantly-adorned table. An Iowa wine-tasting kicks off the evening at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at approximately 7:00 p.m.
Cost is $85 per person and reservations can be made at www.fouroaks.org.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Four Oaks, one of the state's largest child welfare, juvenile justice and behavioral health agency. Headquartered in Cedar Rapids, Four Oaks and its affiliates serve more than 14,000 children and families in all 99 Iowa counties.
