What do a minister, realtor, and a teacher have in common? A passion to empower women and families to choose life, and an enjoyment of golf.
On Tuesday, August 16, sixteen people will golf 100 holes at Airport National Golf Course to raise funds for Aid to Women, a pregnancy support center.
Aid to Women has been empowering women and families to make healthy choices regarding relationships, pregnancy, and parenting for over 25 years. Aid to Women offers the following services:
· Pregnancy testing, ultrasound, and advocacy
· Life skills classes and material support (diapers, clothing, food and formula)
· Relational health and sexual integrity education
· Post-abortion recovery support classes
Golfers will start at 8:30 and golf most of the day playing the best ball for each 2 shots on a hole. There will be prizes for the golfers who have raised the most money for Aid to Women , for the longest drive, and best game. All golfers will leave with a token of appreciation for all their efforts
Golf pros Mark Lemmon and Matt Erger of Airport National will provide each golfer with tips to improve their game, and massages will be available after the event.
Readers can support the efforts of these 16 golfers by sending a gift marked golf marathon to Aid to Women or logging on their website: www.aidtowomenministry.com
