Mercy Medical Center's annual Angel Tree project netted more than 1300 gifts for local families in need. For the 22nd year, hospital employees and visitors were invited to select a gift tag from one of Mercy's three Angel Trees, located throughout the hospital. Each gift tag reflected the name of the social service agency where the gift would be delivered, the age and gender of the recipient and a suggestion for a $10 gift or gift card. The recipients of the gifts are clients of one of these ten local agencies: Abbe Center, Catherine McAuley Center, Catholic Worker House, Cornerstone, Four Oaks, Horizons, Jane Boyd, Mercy Home Health, Tanager, and Willis Dady Shelter.
The gifts were delivered to the social service agencies on Dec. 12.
