LWV legislative forums start Jan. 21

The League of Women Voters of Cedar Rapids and Marion kicks-off its 2012 series of legislative forums Jan. 21.

Eleven Linn County state legislators have been invited to participate in the forum from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. at Mercy Medical Center, 701 10

^th

St. SE., Cedar Rapids, in the Hallagan Education Center.  This forum is free and open to the public.

The forum will begin with legislators sharing their goals for the 2012 session.  After this time, written questions will be taken from the audience. At 11:30, the formal portion of the forum will end leaving fifteen minutes for attendees to talk briefly with legislators.

Three more forums are planned for the 2012 session: Feb. 18. March 17 and April 21. All will be held at Mercy Medical Center.
