‘Long Undy 500’ raises colorectal cancer awareness

Jones Regional Medical Center was celebrating Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month with the Long Undy 500 for staff members. Those participating were encouraged to wear long undies and a blue cape as they ran in the race. Colon cancer affects men and women equally. On average, one in 19 people will develop colorectal cancer. Jones Regional Medical Center is hosting an event called, 'Why a Colonoscopy?' with Dr. Leon Qiao on Friday, March 27 at 2pm in the JRMC Cafeteria. (Stephen Mally/The Gazette)
