IOWA CITY - School was held at Iowa City High on Monday to honor Dr. Martin Luther King with different activities and performances for the students.
On the list of activities was a performance by City High's premium choir, Chamber Choir, singing “MLK” written by U2, supplemented by Dr. King's “I Have A Dream” speech.
The Chamber Choir has been practicing the song since early September and also performed it at their last concert in October. The song features seniors Matt Kroeze and Hank Welter with a duet, then segways into the speech.
After the speech, the whole choir joins together to honor Dr. King.
