Have fun with Dad at Ushers Ferry

The Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation Department's Ushers Ferry Historic Village, 5925 Seminole Valley Tr. NE, is the perfect place for dads and kids to spend quality time together. Two programs especially for dads and kids are being offered this winter.
“Build it with Dad” is Saturday, February 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Children will make an easy birdhouse and a fun toy with a little help from dad. The fee is $6/child for residents and $9/child for non-residents. Dads are free. Advance registration is required for program #314503-01.
“Make Breakfast with Dad” is Saturday, March 3 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Fathers and children will learn to make old-fashioned Southern Biscuits and Gravy from scratch and also learn some simple household skills like threading a needle to sew on a button. The fee is $4/child and $8/adult for residents and $7/child and $11/adult for non-residents. Advance registration is required. Adults should register for program #414708-01 and children for program #414708-02.
