Eat. Drink. Architecture was held for the first time in Cedar Rapids Saturday. The fundraiser was planned to debut in Cedar Rapids in September 2016, but had to be rescheduled due to fall flooding.
The event was organized by the Iowa Architectural Foundation in association with the AIA South East Iowa Section. All proceeds benefit the Foundation and its educational outreach programming.
E.D.A. C.R. kicked off at Lion Bridge Brewing Company. Tours through the Czech Village/ New Bohemia Main Street District were led by Mark Stoffer Hunter with The History Center, Jennifer Pruden with Main Street, and Chris Wand with Primus Construction. Along the route, participants sampled brews and bites from three additional bars and/or restaurants in the district.
People enjoy appetizers and drinks at Bata's during Iowa Architectural Foundation's Eat. Drink. Architecture. Cedar Rapids. in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, Apr. 29, 2017. The progressive food, drink, and architectural tour started at Lion Bridge Brewing Company and continued to Little Bohemia, Bata's, and NewBo City Market. Each stop included food and beer samples.
