The Four Oaks Asperger's program is the recipient of donations collected at Ohnward Bank's Grilling for Charity on September 29. The cookout will be held at the 1211 Edgewood Rd., SW, branch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A free-will cash donation will be collected. The menu includes burgers, chips, dessert, and bottled water. Carryout is available.
Additional support for the event comes from Welter's and the Starlite Room.
The Asperger's program serves middle and high school aged youth who have been diagnosed with the autism-spectrum disorder. Headquartered in Cedar Rapids, Four Oaks is one of the state's largest child welfare, juvenile justice and behavioral health agencies. The organization and its affiliates serve more than 14,000 kids and families in all 99 Iowa counties each year.
