Cedar Rapids native crowned Miss Iowa’s Outstanding Teen

DAVENPORT - Nina Yu, 17, of Cedar Rapids, is Miss Iowa's Outstanding Teen for 2015.
She was crowned Saturday night in Davenport in conjunction with the Miss Iowa pageant. Taylor Wiebers of Clinton was named Miss Iowa 2015.
Yu is the daughter of Vivian and James Yu. She attends Kennedy High School.
She will represent the state at the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Pageant in Orlando, Fla. in August.
Wiebers, 21, is the reigning Miss Clinton County. She is a student at the University of Iowa, majoring in communications.
Wiebers will represent Iowa in the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City, N.J., in September.
Placing in the Miss Iowa contest were Kristen One, 23, of Vernon Hills, Ill., first runner-up; Kelly Koch, 19, of Waukee, second runner-up; Maggie Gehlsen, 19, of DeWitt, third runner-up; and Johanna Vittetoe, 20, of Washington, Iowa, fourth runner-up.
