Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmers' Market Aug. 6

The Cedar Rapids Downtown District welcomes patrons to another Downtown Farmers' Market next Saturday August 6, from 7:30AM-Noon. Bike to Market will be the market theme, encouraging patrons to ride their bicycle and enjoy biking demonstrations along with activities in Greene Square Park.
Hoopla will host main stage entertainment including Jason Brown and Chubby. On street entertainment will include Mark Brown, Magician Jackson Green, Junk Funk, John Heim, a Zumba performance and a cooking demonstration hosted by Zins.
Several bike racks have been installed throughout the downtown area and along the market venue. A mobile rack will be placed in Green Square Park for the anticipated number cyclists.
A record 219 market vendors will be placed along 3rd and 4th Avenues, 2nd and 3rd Street SE as well as Greene Square Park in downtown Cedar Rapids. Patrons will have access to free parking in 4th Avenue and GTC parkades and non-hooded meter space on open streets. Handicap accessible parking will be available in the Guaranty Bank parking lot (entrance along 2nd Avenue).
A new Downtown Farmers' Market map is now available for patrons to view online. Test this out by searching for “corn (sweet)” in order to find a season favorite that is now available.
