Bridgehaven celebrates Volunteers

Bridgehaven Pregnancy Support Center will recognize volunteers for National Volunteer Appreciation Week on Tuesday April 10. Volunteers will be presented with a flower and special honor will be given to volunteers serving 5, 10, 15 and 20+years. Five women have been serving for more than 20 years.

Bridgehaven gives special recognition to Florence Glass, who at 95, continues to volunteer weekly sorting and pricing house wares in Treasures Resale Shop. She is one of many volunteers serving well into retirement.

There are over 290 volunteers serving at Bridgehaven and Treasures Resale Shop in addition to more than 20 groups performing special projects at the center.

Bridgehaven Pregnancy Support Center has been empowering women and families to make healthy choices regarding relationships, pregnancy, and parenting for 30 years. Bridgehaven services include: pregnancy testing, ultrasound, and advocacy; life skills classes and material support (diapers, clothing, food and formula); relational health and sexual integrity education; and post-abortion recovery support classes.
