Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa will host the 21st Annual Collegiate Bowl-4-Education (bowl-a-thon event), on October 7, 14, 19, 21, & 28 at Westdale Bowling Center (2020 Scotty Drive SW, Cedar Rapids). Teams of 5 or 6 can register to participate in this themed event and contributions will support Junior Achievement's classroom programs.
“Junior Achievement has provided instrumental economic education programs in the area for more than 45 years,” said Junior Achievement President, Christine Landa, “It is through the generous donations from the community that we can provide these programs to the school districts.”
With Junior Achievement in the schools, students learn about work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy experiences from volunteers in the local business community. Through the help of over 1,200 community volunteers, Junior Achievement teaches kids how business works and prepares them to be Eastern Iowa's future leaders. Teams can register for Collegiate Bowl-4-Education online at http://goo.gl/tIrnt or by contacting Katie at Junior Achievement at (319) 862-1100 or at kjohnson@jaeasterniowa.org.
More information can be found on Junior Achievement's website, www.JAEasternIowa.org. All proceeds from the event will benefit the students of Eastern Iowa participating in Junior Achievement programs and are tax deductible.
