As he finishes out his term as Linn County Supervisor, I’d like to thank Louie Zumbach for his dedication to the office, and most importantly, to his attention to the northern most cities in his district. I believe Louie has exemplified himself during his term as County Supervisor. For several years I have been the Mayor of Central City; and Louie has been extremely instrumental in helping secure grants that were beneficial to our community.
Holding a public office is not always a 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. job. I have heard some concern that he is not in his Cedar Rapids office enough. To be honest, I believe it is due to the fact that he is out and about within his district meeting with the people of the communities.
Any time I contacted Louie, whether he was in the Statehouse or in Linn County as supervisor, he has always been prompt in taking my calls. If there was a question he couldn’t answer at that moment, he was prompt in returning the call with a response.
Again, thank you Louie for your representation.
