Zumbach brings family values, service district

With so much distorted and misleading information surrounding Dan Zumbach's campaign, it is important to consider who Zumbach is and why he is the better candidate for state Senate District 48.
Zumbach shares family values and principles on which our country was founded. He has been a farmer and a small-business person for more than 30 years. Along with serving his community school and county fair boards, he has been an official for the Iowa High School Athletic Association. He understands how important farmers and small businesses are to the future of Iowa. Giving of yourself to others promotes leadership in an individual and his commitment to public service gives him a diverse background to draw upon when making decisions that effect others.
Education has been a priority to Zumbach and wife, Shellie. His two daughters are teachers and his college-age son is planning to go into education. His youngest son someday hopes to take over the family farm. Family values run deep in the Zumbach home.
Zumbach isn't making a lot of promises he can't keep. Instead he is offering to work hard and to take our voices with him to Des Moines. Keeping government from overregulating families, small businesses and schools, plus using tax dollars in a prudent way are some of his serious concerns. It's time we elect people like him who have the common sense to do what is right and not what is popular.
