You should know why your party didn’t win

A Dec. 2 letter from James Kane defined the elitist attitude of liberal Democrats. He portrayed rural Republicans as rubes devoted to God and guns, possibly racist, and lacking discernment.
He obviously believes that Democrats never lose elections for the right reasons, or because independent voters, who greatly influence outcomes, are just not intelligent enough to understand that they should always vote Democratic.
I would think that the superior intelligence behind his letter should enable a better (and less insulting) understanding of why his party does not always win.
