You had to be asleep to overlook Bush errors

The author of the July 3 letter who attacked President Barack Obama and his administration must have been in a state of bliss, a total stupor or a coma during the entire Bush-Cheney years. Let's review that “end of an error” legacy.
There were pre-emptive wars in the name of democracy and freedom; doctoring or deleting scientific findings to match one's political beliefs; politicizing the Justice Department; a hands-off policy regarding the Israeli/Palestinian wars resulting in the needless death of thousands; disregarding laws that do not correspond to political beliefs; wanton disregard of the U.S. Constitution; torture and the establishment of a concentration camp on foreign soil.
Additionally, the inability to capture or kill the biggest mass murderer of U.S. citizens; using taxpayer money to support religious organizations; an eight-year delay in the progress of stem cell research in the name of religion; the loss of more than $400 billion to fight an unjust war; Hurricane Katrina; the deaths of more than 4,000 U.S. servicemen and women; misguided activities of Harriet Miers, Douglas Feith, Alberto Gonzales, Dick Cheney, Scooter Libby and Donald Rumsfeld; ill-advised tax cuts for the rich; and the destruction of the environment, Clean Air Act and Endangered Species Act.
Four watershed moments cement President Bush's legacy: 9/11 terrorist attacks; ill-advised and poorly-planned wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; lack of response to the Hurricane Katrina disaster; and the economic meltdown in America and around the world.
The real “Reign of Terror” was President George W. Bush and his cronies.
