You can’t force wellness on people

In the Nov. 29 article, “Schools try to weigh nutrition, fundraising,” Linda Snetselaar says food items sold by students (as fundraisers) conflict with healthy food lessons taught in school, so schools should choose something different to sell.
Wellness (in workplaces or in schools) is wonderful! You can teach it, you can encourage it, but you ultimately cannot force it. People who think they can insult everyone by implying that you are not smart enough to make your own good choices. No mixed message here. Could it just be that those items are shown to make more money for their school? So, that's why they choose them and that, after all, is what fundraising is all about.
