Democrat Elle Wyant and Republican Brad Sherman are candidates for state House District 91. After attending campaign events and studying their online postings, I am looking forward to voting for Elle Wyant. She has impressed me as an ambitious common sense problem solver with important experience and an emphasis on cooperation rather than confrontation.
Her priorities are education, economic development, and equity.
She supports fully funding public schools. Everyone deserves the opportunity to get a good public school education.
She grew up on a farm and has financed farming operations. She understands how the various agricultural businesses and professions work together, and she knows the value of good stewardship. She says 4H and FFA programs greatly benefited her in preparing for farming and business, and she wants to be sure these organizations can continue helping our youth. She is very experienced with small and large businesses. Her family owns the Fireside Winery, one of the largest in Iowa. For nearly 20 years she has worked as an account executive for UPS, where she helps companies around the state with business development.
For Elle, being “Iowa Nice” means everyone has the freedom to be who they are and the opportunity to live up to their full potential.
I believe Elle Wyant has the knowledge, priorities, and experience to be an outstanding legislator for our district, and I hope that you will vote for her too.
