Wrong articles placed on front page

Regarding the July 18 article 'Iowa keeps helmets off”:
The article shouted at me with all caps and bold type indicating how vital it is for me to read the content.
Do you really think that is as important as the 'Missile downed jet over Ukraine ...” article which, by its lowercase, smaller size headline, suggested some ordinary, everyday event? Really?
The story about Israel having to send in troops to Gaza article was relegated to page 3 while the story of Chris Christie's visit to Iowa made the front page.
I understand that you must have rules on where Iowa stories are placed and where national news may be placed, but the July 18 paper was an example of when rules should be broken.
The missile downing a passenger jet killing nearly 300 and Israel having to enter Gaza could be events that change the world and should have been on the front page with headline sizes that screamed the importance they surely have.
