Women politicians should take high road
Judy Ellyson

Back in the days when I was on the farm helping castrate hogs, cattle and sheep and shooting rats when the feed bunkers were moved, I surely never dreamed that those activities might be noteworthy to hurl me toward national politics.
I really, really, really want to see a competent woman represent Iowa at the national level of politics, but using the credentials of shooting guns and castrating animals is not my idea of how it should be done.
