Woman ready to face choices, make amends

I recently made the worst possible choices any mother could make. As for the charges against me, I am guilty. ... I have overcome many hardships. I feel as if I have not had access to the necessary support I needed to overcome many of the struggles I have been faced with. [But] there is no excuse for my cruel and heartless actions.
I have been on a path of self destruction. Now I am ready to accept the consequences of my actions.
I apologize to those I directly harmed throughout the madness of feeding my addiction: my family, the employees of the Walgreens and Medicap pharmacies, especially to the female customer who was subjected to something no one should ever endure. Please forgive me. I was lost and now I am found.
I am grateful for the return of my life and health. I have been given a second chance and I pray that with rehabilitation I will make better decisions, be a good mother and a productive member of society. I pray that the City of Cedar Rapids and all involved will forgive me.
