With new teams, Big Ten needs a new name

Big Ten? Big Fourteen? Big Eighteen?

Watching the struggle to come up with some sensible rendering of our athletic conference has been amusing.

Now, with the addition of West Coast teams, a solution is obvious — the Continental Conference!

Stretching from coast to coast, this takes the wind out of lesser regional confabulations like the SEC and ACC.

Remember where you heard this first, and please give me credit — and NIL rights.
