Climate change is a big issue that affects all of us and is beginning to concern me more and more. We all need to do what we can to limit the amount of pollution being released into the atmosphere from burning coal, oil and gas to meet all of our energy needs. There are now newer, sustainable ways to harness the energy of the sun and wind that do not contribute to this problem and will still meet our energy demands.
Iowa is the leader in industries supporting wind energy. It is good for the planet and good for our state economy. Our representatives in Congress and the Senate need to know we care about the planet, we care about the economy and there are better ways to meet the world's energy appetite. Urge them to support sustainable wind and solar energy and support our planet.
