Will next senator limit service?

Following the Jan. 24 article “Iowa leads in experience” about all Sen. Tom Harkin and Sen. Chuck Grassley have done for our state, I had a letter written saying I thought Harkin and Grassley should retire. I was minutes away from submitting it when I read that Harkin will not run in 2014.
Thank you, Harkin, for your service, but your retirement is overdue. Now if Grassley will do the same in 2016. My question is this: Whoever runs for Harkin's seat in 2014, will you run saying “I will only run for two terms and then let someone else do the job?” We don't need someone in the Senate or the House for 20, 30 or 40 years. Pass the torch to new blood.
If you say this, you will get a lot of votes because a lot of people feel as I do. If the president has a limit of two terms, why not the senators?
