COVID-19 vaccine group 1B includes 'government officials and staff engaged in state business at the Iowa Capitol during the legislative session.” (The Gazette Jan. 17). Will the legislators who refuse to wear a mask in the House or Senate chambers also refuse their high priority for the vaccine?
They obviously do not consider COVID-19 infection a problem that might affect them and they and do not care about protecting those around them. If they forgo their vaccine, others with underlying conditions who would be seriously affected, will be able to move up in the queue.
