Why no Linn artists for county’s art projects?

Regarding the Linn County Board of Supervisors' artist choices so far for new buildings: They show no respect for artists in the Cedar Rapids and Linn County area.
I am a taxpayer of Linn County. I am the best artist that Cedar Rapids has. Yet, our county supervisors would rather give the money to want-to-be artists, from another city and state. If the supervisors have no respect for local artists, then I as an artist can also have no respect for Linn County.
