Why does Hawkeye program retain either Ferentz?

What in God’s name is wrong with my fellow Iowans holding onto Kirk Ferentz and his son? Is it an addiction to mediocre performance or what?
I am simply amazed that other adjacent states with Big Ten programs are more addicted to winning than losing. But not here in Iowa.
Here we labor for a quarter century to come up with reasons to line the Ferentz family’s pockets with big cash, all the while having no expectation for any reasonable results.
