Who is really served by Trump’s DOJ demands

I recently wrote to Sen. Chuck Grassley expressing my dismay that the current president is using the machinery of government to go after his enemies. I received a "response" from him that tries to turn the tables on my observation, claiming that what he calls "politically infected actions" are exemplified by Jack Smith's past investigations of Trump for stealing classified documents from the U.S. government.
Grassley concludes by saying, "I welcome action taken by the DOJ to realign the department’s priorities with those of the American people. The American people have asked us, their elected representatives, to put the blindfold back on Lady Justice."
What a fraud our senator has become. When we see explicit demands from the president to the Attorney General that names his enemies and asks for retaliation, it is the antithesis of blind justice; and who is being served by those demands is not the American people, it is one individual: Donald Trump.
