White House right to be wary of Fox News
The Gazette Opinion Staff

The White House communications director, Anita Dunn, stated the obvious recently when she said Fox News channel is more of a wing of the Republican Party. “Let's not pretend they're a news organization like CNN is,” she said.
She told the New York Times, “We're going to treat them the way we would an opponent. As they are undertaking a war against Barack Obama and the White House, we don't need to pretend this is the way legitimate news organizations behave.”
She's absolutely right. Don't talk with them. Don't appear on their shows. Don't call on them at news conferences. What's the risk? That Fox will run inflammatory programming against the administration? That they'll sponsor anti-Obama protests? That they'll broadcast known lies about Obama? They already do that.
