Where has the traditional GOP base gone?

As Donald Trump holds rallies to rev up his base, I'm wondering where are the bank presidents, the insurance agents, the doctors and lawyers and accountants, the Rotarians, Jaycees, business owners, farmers, grocers and all the others who were the backbone of the Republican Party for decades?

Have they embraced Trump's world or have they just given up on the GOP?
