Wheelchair athletes deserve coverage too

After an exciting weekend watching my nephew, Jordan Houdeshell, compete for the first time at the state track meet at Drake Stadium, I was disappointed in The Gazette's neglect to recognize any of the wheelchair athletes and their events in Sunday's newspaper.
Not only were there personal records achieved by some of them, but state records were broken as well.
These kids are part of the team, attend the practices during the season and deserve recognition, too, even if their scores aren't applied to the team score (that's another letter).
I was glad to see KCRG-TV9 give equal coverage.
