What will move America forward?

As Americans looking for a way forward, we are tiring of Washington's divisiveness. I can only look at the television for a few minutes before changing channels to watch anything other than politics. I am not alone with this feeling of frustration. The continuous, endless tweets of fiery, and mostly profane rhetoric, can almost stop people in their tracks, but then we should be use to this.
The world is watching America, as a leader for freedom and yet they see things I am not too proud of and furthermore, are ashamed of. Leadership advances their own causes, it seems to me. When did Washington forget that they work for you and me. This seems to be an outdated concept but it is the heart of our democracy.
America cannot take their eyes off the ball when it comes to peace and order in the world. We are the 'big brother” when it comes to world affairs. This is the role America has always taken. We are only great because we are good.
In the upcoming 2020 election, we need leadership that unites and nurtures harmony. One that inspires and leads by example.
