As a parent, I want Susie Weinacht to represent me on City Council. She has worked on local and state PTAs on issues that affect my kids. She is on the Blue Zone Advisory Council and has worked on the Walking School Bus initiative so children can receive the physical benefits from walking to school safely. She worked tirelessly to get $10,000 in scholarships for families that can't afford things, such as swim lessons, t-ball and other activities. She understands what is important a parent.
As a woman, I want Weinacht to represent me on City Council. She will provide new, fresh ideas that will keep council balanced and representative of the entire community. She sees a bright future for Cedar Rapids that includes flood protection, stronger neighborhoods, and long term economic development.
As an individual, I want Weinacht to represent me. When I see her out in the community she is always volunteering or working for Cedar Rapids in some capacity. She is interested in what makes my life better. She listens to people and asks what they think. She cares about people and she cares about Cedar Rapids. Her down-to-earth personality and passion for serving her community and strengthening our neighborhoods will help make our city a better place to live.
