Weeds on I-380 are not attractive
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Bring on the snow! Not because it's hot, mind you. Just so it will cover the weeds growing along Interstate 380.
We are trying to attract jobs to Cedar Rapids? Why would any company coming in to see this city even think of calling this home? The weeds grow over two feet, collecting garbage left discarded on the road by the trucks not covered as instructed by law. Yet not enforced.
Maybe we can set up a mobile garbage camera as well? Think of the income that would generate.
I would think a city as progressive (I joke, that's what I do) as Cedar Rapids would do something about this. How about adopt a lot to cut? Get business people to cut sections. I know, that would make too much sense.
Maybe we can lease the land to local farmers for grazing rights, more income? We're already used to the smell.
