Wealthy companies only as good as workers
The Gazette Opinion Staff

In the Republicans' response to President Barack Obama's July 28 address, they complained the president wanted to raise taxes on the wealthy, “the most productive segment of our economy.” That statement is an absurd.
News flash, Republicans: Those multimillion-dollar companies are only as productive as their workers are. You can have the greatest idea in the world and a fantastic marketing campaign, but if that product isn't coming off the line fast and of the highest quality to fill the orders, you fail. An Internet business is only as good as the everyday hardworking employee who keep it fast and running. Republicans, you've forgotten, we are all in this together.
Obama understands that concept. Not only is Mitt Romney out of touch with the average American, so is the Republican Party. Their focus is on just the wealthy.
