We won’t heal or move on without accountability

The deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol happened because Donald Trump couldn't accept his election loss. Instead of getting him a therapist, the Republican Party, including all of our representatives, decided to play along with the fantasy that there was fraud instead of reassuring voters that it was a fair election and that Trump was lying. They all want the rioters punished to the full extent, but refuse to hold Trump accountable. Our governor says we must not point fingers because that's not who we are as Americans. That we must move on and heal the country. Five people died. There's no healing or moving on unless there's accountability, starting at the top. I wonder what Trump's teenage son thought when he saw his father reacting in delight, as reported by his aides, while he watched the horror on TV as it was unfolding. Nobody is above the law. That's who we are as Americans.
