We need Vicki Lensing in the Iowa House
State Rep. Mary Mascher
May. 4, 2020 6:45 pm
In Iowa City, we have a proud history of supporting our community, that means good paying jobs with benefits, public schools that provide a quality education for our children, and affordable health care for our families. This is a history Vicki Lensing has helped write during her time in the Iowa House.
It's people like Vicki who fight for our shared values and keep my faith in Iowa's future. A faith that, at times, can be shaken on the darkest days of the legislative session.
Vicki voted to raise the minimum wage.
Vicki voted to help support small businesses owned by women, minorities, and veterans.
Vicki voted to protect the wages of Iowans and hold employers accountable for financial exploitation.
Vicki's record, her no-nonsense approach to legislating, and her tireless commitment to fighting for progressive values make one thing very clear: we need her experience in the legislature now more than ever. We need a representative who will support our families, small businesses, and communities.
This is one of the many reasons why the Iowa Federation of Labor has proudly endorsed her reelection campaign.
Vicki doesn't seek accolades for the work she does on behalf of her community. She just delivers. Proven leadership is what we need, and proven leadership is what Vicki Lensing brings to the Iowa House. I am proud to endorse Vicki Lensing, and I encourage you to vote for her on June 2.
