We need to isolate to save Iowa

Many years ago I worked on the corner of Collins Road and Council Street. There wasn't a traffic light at the time and the corner had major accidents fairly often. At the same time I happened to have a customer that was the traffic engineer for the city. I asked him why there wasn't a light for safety.

He told me that the corner hadn't met the criteria for a light and that it had to have a certain number of either serious accidents or a fatal accident before it 'qualified.”

Fast forward to 2020 and the coronavirus pandemic and I will ask Gov. Reynolds the same basic question I asked the traffic engineer. When we 'put up a traffic light” and shut down the state?

What is her 'quota” How many people must get sick or is it a lesser number if a certain amount die? Does she have the magic number written down or does that number come directly from Washington?

I understand this is devastating to the economy but it will be even worse if we continue to wait. How many people must die before we decide to bite the bullet and follow other countries that have succeeded by testing, isolating and shutting down until we have defeated this enemy?
