We need leaner government — and term limits

Our Federal Government is fat. It's grown itself, behind our backs, into an unnecessarily expensive monster. Our congresspeople think the supply of money is unending, but it's not. They are approving important, necessary expenditures, but also dumb expenditures. You can't simply print more money, and go deeper into debt. We forget that the government's money comes from us, the people. And for those who say, "But it also comes from businesses," then remember — businesses are people.
I applaud the current president's efforts of digging into the ridiculous spending. This will definitely help secure our country's future. Some people whine, "But Elon Musk was not elected by us!" Well, neither were all the staffers in those departments that come up with ridiculous ways of spending money. Time to get it stopped.
Then there's one more thing our country desperately needs: term limits in Congress. The states are supposed to be sending representatives to Washington, to represent our needs and concerns. Instead, these people are building dynasties and making themselves rich. That was not the intent of our country's founders. Go to DC, represent us for a 4-year term, return home, and go back to work. Then we'll select someone else for the next term.
Let's quit the ridiculous spending; and let's put term limits into place ASAP.
