We are supposed to protect our children

Regarding the May 5 article (“Walk to new school upsets I.C. parents”) on children required to walk to their school through unsafe surroundings: If all true, shame on the school board. As adults, we are supposed to protect our children, not throw them to the wolves. I suggest you re-evaluate your decision. If it were your children, would you want the same?
