We all should refuse to pay camera tickets

What is all the ballyhoo? The best fix for the big brother traffic camera is a simple one: If you get a ticket, throw it away and refuse to pay. We are entitled to due process in this country (so far), and it is not afforded by electronic wizardry installed at the behest of our spend-happy City Council as a source of more revenue they can fritter away on yet another ill-conceived and unnecessary project.
I was ecstatic when I heard our former police chief was headed back to Florida. He performed admirably as a fundraiser. Perhaps after the city manager spends a couple hundred grand on a nationwide search for a replacement, he'll realize we have lots of qualified people on the force who can handle the job without Orwellian tactics.
I have never received a ticket generated by the cameras, so this is not a grudge match. If everyone who gets a ticket throws it away, the cameras will go away. Your credit scores cannot be negatively affected by this course of action. You must be proven guilty in a court before you owe anything.
