Watch out for subversive musicals

The recent Iowa Public Television documentary about Meredith Willson, talented musician and composer from Mason City, made me want to re-watch the 1962 movie of his hit Broadway musical. But when I did, I realized, uh-oh! What if Iowa children of today should happen to see this story that makes such hilarious fun of close-minded Iowans being upset about books in a library? Quick! Alert the Moms for Liberty, so they can get busy ("pick-pick-pick, talk a lot, pick a little more") and ban “The Music Man!”
