Wal-Mart would benefit SE side

I live in Wellington Heights on the SE side and I'm guessing the City Council and mayor haven't heard from my neighborhood yet in regard to how we feel about the possibility of a Wal-Mart on Mount Vernon Road.
It would be very beneficial because it would give a shopping option to this area that we haven't had in many years. Right now, because so many businesses have left this area, we have to travel across town to shop at Wal-Mart.
This city has done so much to improve housing in this neighborhood, but housing is only part of the recipe for healthy citizens. A Wal-Mart on Mount Vernon Road would give low income people in this area a place to shop to maintain our homes. It would help to sustain all the good this city has started.
Wal-Mart on Mount Vernon Road would be in a reasonable travel distance for this area, give us variety and options we don't now have, and generally improve the life of my neighborhood. Yeah for Wal-Mart!
